How Parents/Carers can help
The range of options for students leaving Sixth Form has diversified in recent years with many alternatives to university. As a Sixth Form we have high rates of success with students gaining places at university and high level apprenticeships. Parents/Carers can help their child by ensuring they understand the range of options available to them.
The school is always here to help, therefore if you have any questions about the next stage of your child’s education please give us a call or send an email and we will be pleased to support you.
What the school will do
- Provide students and families with a Post-18 Information Evening
- Provide UCAS application workshops for students
- Send the Parent/Carer university guide home
SEND Support
After 7 years of education at St Edward’s the prospect of leaving can be an uncertain one for all students. For students with a SEND need, the SEND Team will be happy to support in providing the student and family with the range of options available to them.
Students will also all receive careers advice to help them work out their next steps. At every step of the way the SEND Team will be available to discuss the different options available to your child.
