Arts Awards Evening
On Thursday 6th July, the school held its second annual Arts Awards Evening to celebrate those students who have excelled in Art, Drama or Music this year.
The awards were given for a variety of reasons such as attainment, progress, dedication, attitude and extra-curricular commitment with 63 students being nominated by their class teachers.
The evening began with a speech by Isobel O’Neill of 7.3 entitled ‘Why The Arts Are Important” and included musical performances by Rosnan Cheung and Genevieve Lewis. Monologues were performed by Amy Edwards and ex-student Molly Wilsher, and an exhibition of art work from award-winning students featured at the back of the hall.
